Although downtown gas stations can be difficult to deal with because of their large expanses of pavement and automobile-oriented designs, it is possible to rehab historic stations and preserve their good design features while accommodating new uses. Some examples:

Hapeville gas staton after rehab   Two abandoned gas stations on U.S. 41 in Hapeville get new life.
Former gas station that now houses McDonough Main Street program offices   The local Main Street program has its offices in this former gas station on the square in McDonough.
