Rail Trails

Home | Downtown Green Spaces | Rail Trails

Rail trails create alternate routes of transportation between Georgia cities by using abandoned railways. Because the path has already been cleared, and in some cases, the bridges have already been built, rail trails are a cost-effective method of reinventing a city's transportation system. In addition to providing bikers and pedestrians with miles of scenic trail, rail trails are used for daily transportation within the city.
